I cannot believe we are nearly 1/2 way through December! Every year I get older the time seems to go by quicker. I feel like one day I woke up and my daughter had turned 16 and my son was pushing 14. And now here we are rounding the corner to another Christmas. *sigh*
I’m still trying to remember to write 2017!
Day 8 features a few different stamp sets and more background stamping. My focus for this series is retiring sets from the 2017 Holiday Catalog. Many of them work well together (which is pretty true for most Stampin’ Up! sets) and I think it’s important to show that you don’t have to use just the stamps in the set to create something.
Stretch your stamps!
Yes, more Quilted Christmas. I just can’t get away from it. I love the modern feel of the stamps (but do wish it had more sentiments). I’ve also been thinking of different ways to use the circles in the Cheers to the Year set and decided to see how using them as a wreath would turn out.
For the berries I used a couple different sets of dots: the small dots are from the Carols of Christmas set and the larger ones are from the Cheers to the Year set, as are the stars. The sentiment is from the October Paper Pumpkin kit.
I added some Crushed Curry Bakers Twine to pull in the yellow stars and used the Eastern Gold Vinyl Stickers as accents.
I hope you enjoyed the card for Day 9 of the series and will stop by tomorrow for Day 10.
